7 years - 18 Years

Discovering Acting   (7 - 18 Years)

This class is focuses on beginner acting techniques for stage.  Students will be taught using the fundamentals of stage acting, scene work, audition preparation, comedy, improvisation, blocking, and script study . Emphasis is placed on interpretation, creative expression, and performance.  

Classes are 1 hour, once a week.   $55 Monthly.

Exploring Acting   (7 - 18 Years)

This intermediate/advanced class for seasoned actors who have experience on stage.  The class will focus on acting techniques for stage.  Students will be taught using the fundamentals of stage acting, scene work, audition preparation, comedy, improvisation, blocking, and script study . Emphasis is placed on interpretation, creative expression, and performance.  

Classes are 1 hour, once a week.   $55 Monthly.

Film Class  (7 - 18 Years)

In our film class, studetns learn the mechanics as well as the art of TV, film, and commercial acting--while having a great time! They overcome fears and become comfortable with the special requirements and techniques of acting for the camera. Working on-camera strengthens their ability to move beyond "acting" to fully bring characters to life and to react truthfully in the moment. As they begin to apply their skills to actual scripts from TV, film, and commercials, they build a solid foundation that keeps young actors sharp and audition ready. Students develop the ability to handle any type of script, adding their own unique style.  With Youtube, Vine, and other social media video apps,  we teach our students the how-tos for fun improv and script writing for their own videos.  On Cue will also host different professionals in film, from the tech side of filming, editing, sound, lighting, and acting!  Ages 10+

Classes are 1 hour, once a week.   Tuition: $55 Monthly 

Musical Theater 

For triple threats in the making, we offer a variety of classes that hone performances skills while providing instruction in voice, acting, and dance. Students will learn song and dance routines set to numbers from popular musical theatre productions. 

 

Kid Musical Theater  (Ages 6-9)

Junior Musical Theater  (Ages 9-12)

Senior Musical Theater   (Ages 13-18)

Character Study

Perfect class to the actor to dive into what makes a character, asking the questions: who, what, where, why.  This class is geared towards intermediate and advanced actors who want to bring their characters to life.  Tech class

 

Dance for Actors

This is a dance class made for actors!  Ballet, jazz, tap technique basics are taught so that actors can have the confidence when they have to dance on stage, for auditions, or a role!  Ages 10-18

 

Stage Costuming/Make-up  (10 years to Adult)

This is an exciting class that dives into the world of costume design and make-up application for Stage for both actors, dancers, and other performers.  Whether it's for a Broadway musical or a Shakespearean production, the art of Theatre Costume Design is of paramount importance in telling a story and an arena for great invention and spectacular feats of the imagination. Costumes, jewelry, accessories, and décor must be compelling, relevant, and historically accurate. Learn to create the ultimate wardrobe for characters in theatre, film, television, and video.  Students will learn real world makeup techniques that they can use for stage.  Also, we explore television makeup, as well as makeup for film, photography,  and special effects.  The student learns to create a professional stage makeup for a variety of characters and roles plus knowledge of makeup materials, tools and techniques.

Set Design & Stage Tech  (10 Years to Adult)

This class is designed for those who wish to be creative off the stage, as a scenic designer or Stage crew/lighting/sound.  Students will learn how to analyze a script, create a rough sketch of the floor plan and adapt a scale rendering to a three-dimensional model.   The class will also teach different lighting sets for stage and film, as well as designing props and running the sound booth.
